Nervous System Wellness

Join me and River Valley Coop for a free two-part webinar series to help you live more comfortably in your body and respond to the world more in the ways you want to. In this second part, we’ll explore the question I get asked the most often: how do I create some kind of consistent practice to support my nervous system over time?

Our autonomic nervous system naturally fluctuates every day between readiness for action and winding down for rest. All of us have a window of presence -- a range of nervous system highs and lows within which we feel safe, settled, and responsive to the world around us.

But chronic stress, traumatic experiences, and unsupportive environments can leave us feeling like we don't get to spend as much time in that window of comfort and curiosity as we would like. The good news is that our nervous systems are made to learn and adapt. Over time, we can shift our nervous system baseline and even expand our windows of presence.

In this webinar, we'll learn about our windows of presence and how our nervous systems naturally shift during the day. We'll learn to recognize when we're within our windows and how to anchor that settled state in our bodies and minds, to make it easier to return to.

We'll then talk about what works to shift the nervous system baseline over time. We'll develop a process of intention, compassionate self-accompaniment, and reflection to gently incorporate nervous system healing practices into your life, recognizing and building on their effects. Participants will leave with plans for supporting their own nervous system well-being.

Registrants will receive the link to participate live and an email when the recording is ready to access.
